Aircraft Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Shoreline
A chopper flying over a crowded southern California beach suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Footage posted online show the helicopter commencing to spiral over the shoreline then falling near the perimeter of the shore, where it becomes wedged between palm groves and a steps near the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Details
Emergency responders stated five individuals were taken to hospital involving two who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the road were injured. Information on their wounds were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
